Marstek Venus E Mini Energy Storage – 2 kWh, Just 105 mm Slim
AC-coupled retrofit storage, plug-and-play installation in 5 minutes
2 kWh LiFePO4
1.5 kW bidirectional
105 mm depth, 22 kg
>10,000 charge cycles
10-year warranty
The Marstek Venus E Mini is an AC-coupled plug-in storage system with 2 kWh capacity and just 105 mm case depth at 22 kg — one of the most compact storage solutions in its class. The LiFePO4 battery is rated for over 10,000 charge cycles at 25 °C, whilst the bidirectional grid inverter delivers up to 1.5 kW. Thanks to AC-coupling, the unit connects directly to a standard socket like any household appliance — no modifications to your existing solar system or inverter required.
How the storage system works
The Venus E Mini connects in parallel to your existing PV system or balcony solar kit and stores excess solar energy rather than feeding it back to the grid. It operates independently of the brand and communication protocol of your existing inverter. Even without a PV system, it can be used alongside dynamic electricity tariffs by charging when rates are low and discharging when rates rise.
Who is it suitable for?
Ideal for renters, flat owners and smaller households with balcony solar kits that need a particularly slim storage solution due to space constraints. Before installation, you should check any individual requirements (such as from your landlord), your electrical installation and local grid requirements.
Ultra-slim design
386 × 450 × 105 mm at 22 kg — fits in tight spaces, such as narrow balcony walls.
1.5 kW bidirectional power
Factory-set to 800 W output, up to 1.5 kW available in Premium mode (subject to local regulations).
Backup power with <15 ms switchover
1.5 kVA backup capacity (1.8 kVA peak for 60 s), automatic switchover in under 15 milliseconds.
Over 10,000 charge cycles
LiFePO4 cells with up to 15 years design lifespan, 10-year manufacturer warranty.
Marstek AI energy management
Analyses consumption patterns and weather data, automatically charging at low electricity prices and discharging at high rates.
Smart BMS with 6 protection functions
24/7 monitoring with protection against overcharge, deep discharge, overcurrent, short circuit and overtemperature.
On the saving claim of "up to £542 per year": This model calculation is based on specific assumptions (2,500 kWh annual consumption, 1.5 kWp PV system, 1,620 kWh annual yield, £0.40/kWh electricity rate, 77% self-consumption ratio based on HTW Berlin calculator, 30% AI optimisation factor) and is an estimate, not a guarantee. Actual savings depend on individual circumstances.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own PV system?
No. The Venus E Mini can be used without a PV system, for example in combination with dynamic electricity tariffs. However, its main application is storing solar energy from balcony kits or PV systems.
Do I need to replace my inverter?
No. As an AC-coupled storage system, the Venus E Mini operates independently of the brand and protocol of your existing inverter and simply connects additionally to the grid.
How much power can I feed back to the grid?
Output power is factory-limited to 800 W. Premium mode with up to 1.5 kW may require additional conditions depending on your location, grid connection and applicable regulations.
How quickly does the backup power function respond?
Automatic switchover occurs in under 15 milliseconds, so connected devices continue running practically without interruption during a power cut.
